If you are experiencing domestic abuse there is support available. You may be told that nobody will believe you or help you. That is not the case. You are not alone.
You do not need to worry about your family breaking up or never seeing a loved one again. Making a SHARP report can be the start of you getting support and in turn making your homelife better. In addition to this it would also mean the person that is causing the harm will be confronted and start to get the support they need to stop.
If you are not ready to make a SHARP report there are a number of organisations highlighted below to help give advice and support. Please do not suffer in silence, you are worth more than that.
Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence and violence against women and girls is not tolerated and where women and children can live in safety.
They aim to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear. We provide a range of life-saving and life-changing services, and a voice for the voiceless.
They are the leading charity that is ending male violence against women by engaging with men and boys to make a stand against violence. Their mission is for all men to fulfil theWhite Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women. They act as a catalyst, encouraging people, and especially men and boys, to individually and collectively take action and change behaviour.
